September holds great promise for our Boyd Buchanan Elementary family! Our students are now thoroughly immersed in their new explorations! Chapel presentations and daily Bible stories provide a touchstone for our leaning community! Our blue collections tubs are filling with cans for the Chattanooga Food Bank! The varsity Bucs football team will provide us with a reason to cheer again on Friday evening! Can fall be far behind?
PLEASE LABEL ALL LUNCH BOXES, BACKPACKS, AND ALL ARTICLES OF CLOTHING. WE ALREADY HAVE A LARGE ASSORTMENT OF UNMARKED ITEMS IN LOST AND FOUND!! THANK YOU!
Muchas gracias! This month you gave $80 for the support of our child, Alonso, at the City of Children Orphanage in Mexico. The monthly support check of $50 was given for September. BOX TOPS for EDUCATION
Our Elementary family collects “Box Tops for Education” labels. These labels afford our school the resources to purchase items for all children! Please place labels in the red wagon located outside the Elementary office.
Our 2010-2011 Elementary Parent Council will be sponsoring recycling efforts for our Pre-K -5th grade students! Mrs. Jennifer Greer will be coordinating these services with Orange Grove and Allied Waste. The Elementary Parent Council is also assisting several of our teachers who are pursuing graduate degrees this fall! We are grateful to our parent organization for their tremendous support.

It’s not too late to join the 2010-2011 Parent Council! The cost is $25 per family! Each class who achieves 100% membership will receive $100 for their classrooms. Please support our Membership Drive!
Boyd Buchanan Elementary’s Chick Fil A night is scheduled for the Gunbarrel location on Thursday evening, September 16, from 4 – 9 P.M. Plan now to eat at the Gunbarrel Chick Fil A. Our Elementary receives a portion of the evening’s proceeds!
