This course provides opportunities for students to explore the connection of academic disciplines to real world situations. The students use mathematics, language arts, social studies, science, and technology to create a presentation demonstrating a variety of research skills, media and technologies. The goal of this class is to show the relevance of academia in real life.
8th Grade Physical Science

This is the study of the wonders of the world around us. It gives students the opportunity to get an introduction to physics and chemistry. Basic physics investigates the laws of motion and uses of energy (such as electricity, light, and magnetism). Basic chemistry deals with the way elements behave and combine to form new substances. Demonstrations by the teacher and labs performed by the students are integrated throughout the course.
Science Fair
Science Fair is an on-going long term project as a part of the 8th grade science class.
